I didn't really get motif at first. But now that i have read this book and seen some really good motifs in it i understand. Motif is something that kind of connects all the themes. Like the motif in this book would be mockingbird. There are many mockingbirds in this book, One of the many is Tom Robinson. He is an innocent man who got shot and died. This shows injustice, which is a major them in this book.

Another motif would be how Mr. Ewell attacked Jem and Scout. He did this out of his anger towards Atticus. The kids did not do anything they were just the mockingbirds in this situation. This represtents the major theme of Jem and Scout losing their innocents, because they aren't viewed as helpless , innocent children in this situation. Seeing the good examples of themes and motifs in this book is really gonna help me out in the future when i need to find motifs.
